While Carter’s Foundation primarily focuses on bringing joy and comfort to children undergoing cancer treatment or hospitalization, we have expanded our reach to also bring comfort to their parents too.
Caring for a sick child in the hospital is an emotionally and mentally challenging experience for parents. The urgency and unexpected nature of hospitalization can often consume their attention, which leaves little mental space to remember personal essentials for themselves. Or, if they were like us, their child is suddenly being admitted in the hospital and they have nothing with them but the clothes on their back. That's why Carter’s Foundation has initiated Parent Packs. Parent Packs contain essential toiletries to assist parents who might have forgotten these items while being by their child's side.
